Ancient Medicine For A Modern World

Denver Acupuncture and Sports Medicine supports the philosophy of holistic, natural healing. Our practice is based on the belief that the body can heal itself and overcome chronic pain, illness, and injury through re-balancing energy flow. This can be achieved through various treatments such as: Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Trigger Point Therapy, and Natural Herbal Supplements. Each client has a unique body and specific needs, so we will work with you to create a treatment plan that will meet your individual goals.

Scott is the best kind of holistic practitioner. He’s BEEN there. As a triathlete himself, a CrossFitter and all-around athletic guy, he understands what it’s like to have something going on due to the abuse we subject ourselves to, in being active.

For me, I play roller derby, I’m a Mom and do CrossFit 2-3 times a week; that means that no matter what I’m doing, something on my body is either sore or could use some help with mobility or pain relief.

Scott understands how the body works in a very unique way. Being an athlete himself as well as having training in Chinese medicine and sports medicine and just having a keen sense of “what can make it better” you always know that laying down for a treatment, be it some soft tissue work or an acupuncture treatment that you’ll leave feeling better, more whole and more effective in your life, and your next adventure!

Scott is a knowledgeable acupuncturist and unlike others he is honest and will not continue to work on someone if it is not benefiting them. So many people have got away from making it about the pt and not business. As far as his work, he is great at what he does, he has worked on my chronic lower back pain and I had instant relief after one treatment which was nice. I would definitely recommend to friends and family.

I have brought family members to see Scott because he is so good. You combine eastern medicine training with and experienced athlete and you get an awesome acupuncturist….Scott. He wants to help you.

I recently saw Scott, and I would thoroughly recommend him to anyone who is thinking about getting acupuncture in the Denver area. My brother-in-law referred me to Scott, and I could not be happier! He is knowledgeable, thoughtful, and takes the time to truly get to know his patients. I saw Scott for a lower back injury, and it his treatment definitely helped ease my pain. Again, I would highly recommend him to anyone!

I saw Dr. Scott Richardson yesterday to help alleviate pain in my right shoulder and trapezius area before I have shoulder replacement surgery in about a month. While I intend to go back for at least 1-2 more times before my surgery, the initial treatment helped alleviate the pain and discomfort, especially at my right trapezius. I would recommend Dr. Richardson to others who need relief from pain and discomfort with the understanding that you may have to have more than one or two treatments.

I saw Dr. Scott after I broke my 5th metatarsal bone and while I was still in my walker boot. The treatment was AWESOME! I had less swelling and bruising the next day and was able to put more weight on my foot without pain. Acupuncture helps so much to speed up the healing process. Thank you.

Today I had my first appointment with Dr. Scott Richardson for a couple sports/running/lifting related issued I was having. His office location is conveniently located near cherry creek, and is very clean and welcoming. Scott asked questions about my ailments as well as about myself as a person before starting any treatment. He explained what everything was doing for my ailments as he went, he was very thorough, and I left instantly feeling a reduction in my discomfort. I look forward to my next visit, and I definitely recommend him if you are active and want to treat your sport ailments without pharmaceuticals.

Do not know what my husband would do without his therapy with Denver Acupuncture & Sports Medicine! He benefits immensely from the acupuncture and many other natural therapy options. He has a neurological condition that causes chronic pain, does not respond well to pharmaceuticals, and he is also an athlete who struggles with recovery due to his health condition. Not only are the treatments natural and effective, but we have found immense comfort coming here because of the compassion and understanding he is always met with! From muscular issues, to pain management, to stress and anxiety release, Scott has gone above and beyond every time to help him deal with any problem he is facing. Just cannot express our appreciation and gratitude! Scott is an example of what this world needs!

I have been seeing Dr. Scott Richardson for over 2 years almost weekly. He has been instrumental in reducing my headaches and assisting me with healthy digestion. He has also helped me to heal various injuries I have had from dancing. He listens and has a great knowledge of the body. I highly recommend.

Dr. Scott Richardson is not only a great acupuncturist, but an incredible man as well! My wife has been battling with back/neck spasms for over a year, and every time we go to Kaiser, they tell her it’s a pinched nerve, give her some muscle relaxers, and send her on her way, only to see her back again in 3-6 months for the same issue. If you’re familiar with the way Kaiser operates, you already know that we couldn’t get her in to a Kaiser acupuncturist for several days. We decided to bite the financial bullet and go out of network. Dr. Richardson not only made time in his schedule the same day, but he took time to ask her questions and get a feel for what might be the root of her issue. He proceeded with an acupuncture treatment and followed that up with muscle manipulation. My wife is already feeling better and has thanked me multiple times for taking her to see Dr. Richardson. Well, thank you Dr. Richardson, not only for making me the good husband, but also for not breaking the bank in doing so!
