Keep Your Knees Ready for the Slopes!
An important part of any sport is protecting yourself from injury. Preventing injury allows you to play your sport long-term and be able to enjoy playing pain free. When you know what knee injuries happen in your sport you will be better equipped to protect yourself and rehabilitate properly if already injured.
The knee is a complex and almost fragile joint. It’s prone to many sorts of injuries as you will see here in this section. Your knee(s) can suffer from fractures, ligament tears, dislocations, sprains, a general chronic pain, and other injuries; the list is long so keep your knees in good shape and they will last you a lifetime!
At Denver Acupuncture & Sports Medicine, we’ll share the proper steps to recover from each injury and then use natural, safe, and effective treatment methods to get you back out on the field. We’ll also cover expected recovery time for each individual and accelerate the body’s own healing mechanisms to reduce chance of reactions and promote a stronger recovery. The goal being full recovery (or working towards it) and preventing future injury from recurring.
